Why We Started Doing It Ourselves

We didn’t register as an NDIS services provider to be clever, or different, or better. We started it because, frankly, too many people were getting let down… and no one seemed all that surprised anymore.

Participants would tell us about support workers who disappeared after two weeks. Nurses who turned up late or never, families left scrambling. Providers trying to fix it all with duct tape and a phone call, and behind it is another agency with no follow-through.

So we said: fine. We’ll do it ourselves.

SAGA Disability Services was never about building an empire. It was about fixing what’s right in front of us. One bad handover, one missed shift, one burnt-out coordinator, one provider who just needs to stop doing the agency’s job.

The idea was simple: Get the right people into the right roles. Actually check their paperwork, their qualifications and their references, we mean really check. Keep them in the loop, and answer the damn phone.

There’s no magic to it. Just a clear standard, followed properly, with respect on both sides.

Somewhere along the way, that became rare. So here we are.

Our Story

SAGA Disability Services supports two kinds of people, and neither one likes being let down.

First: NDIS participants and the people who care about them. Plan managers, family members, support coordinators, everyone trying to keep someone else’s week steady.

We help with support staff, shift fills, high-intensity placements, and even one-off assignments that seem too hard for other agencies. We don’t send just anyone, we match based on skills, screening, preferences, and personality, when possible. You can be plan-managed, self-managed, or NDIA-managed. We work with all of them. We read the plan, and we follow it.

Second: Providers, nurse managers, group home teams, rostering officers. You need workers you can trust with your clients. We fill shifts quickly, but never randomly. Our staff are AHPRA-registered, Worker Check cleared, and supervisor-referenced. No rubber stamps.

We won’t promise perfection, however, we’ll move fast, own it, if we mess up, and keep you looped in, every time.
